The short version: Acrux is a free app and this is a free website, offered in good faith and provided as is. Use them lawfully, respect the platforms you connect to, and understand that we cannot promise they will be perfect or uninterrupted.

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the Acrux Studio desktop application ("Acrux", "we", "us") and this website (acruxapp.stream). By downloading, installing, or using Acrux, or by using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. The Acrux app

Acrux Studio is a desktop application for streaming and recording, currently free to use. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on your own devices. If you obtained Acrux from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft's Standard Application Licence Terms also apply to that download. You may not resell or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer or try to extract its source, except where the law expressly allows it.

2. Acceptable use

When using Acrux or this site, you agree not to:

use them for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone else's rights,
interfere with, disrupt, or overload the software or the site,
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account,
misrepresent the app as your own or remove its identifying marks.

You are responsible for the content you capture, stream, and record with Acrux.

3. Streaming and connected accounts

Acrux lets you connect accounts on platforms such as Twitch, Kick, and YouTube and broadcast to them. You are responsible for following each platform's own rules and terms, and for the content you send to them. We are not responsible for what happens on those platforms, or for any action a platform takes on your account.

4. Third-party services

Acrux and this site rely on third parties, for example the streaming platforms you connect, Microsoft for Store distribution, and Cloudflare for hosting. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, not ours.

5. No warranty

Acrux and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You use them at your own risk.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, recordings, streams, income, or goodwill, arising from your use of Acrux or this site. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date on this page. Continuing to use Acrux or the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

8. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with ourPrivacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Acrux and this site.
